About me:

I am a Mental Health Nurse and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner with experience of supporting people with a wide variety of mental health needs for over 20 years. I have worked in the NHS and charity sector and am truly holistic in my outlook.

I help people recover from traumatic life experiences such as childhood abuse, domestic abuse, assault, infant loss, birth trauma, accidents and more. I also have experience of working with addiction and the psychological impact of physical health problems and pain.

As a Mental Health Nurse my approach is very practical, down to earth and non judgemental. I am LGBTQIA allied and affirming. I believe strongly in the therapeutic relationship as a tool for recovery and am passionate about trauma informed ways of working. I also firmly believe in treating each person as an individual and therapy should be tailored to each person. There is no "one size fits all".

I have a specialist interest in the emerging field of Psychedelic Therapy which ties closely with my experiences in substance misuse services and my belief in a harm minimisation ethos.

I engage in regular supervision and training to ensure my work is of the highest standard.

I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

I am a  accredited member of the EMDR UK Association.

Psychedelic Support

Please Note: I do not encourage or facilitate the use of illegal substances.

Do not contact me to request illegal psychedelic assisted work or access to illegal substances. Thank you.

With increasing research and news coverage, more people are turning to psychedelic medicines to help treat their mental health problems such as depression and PTSD. Some people are accessing psychedelics through legal retreats in places like the Netherlands and others are choosing to use illicitly in the UK.

Substances such as Psilocybin, MDMA, LSD and Ayahuasca are becoming viable alternative treatment choices around the world. Ketamine therapy is legally available in some cases through the NHS in the UK. Recent changes in the law in Australia have allowed Psilocybin and MDMA to be prescribed to patients.

I offer preparation and integration support for the purposes of harm reduction. Psychedelics come with risks and especially so in unregulated environments. I believe it is important for people to make educated, informed choices to stay safe, and to be able to fully integrate any psychedelic experiences into their lives. Research indicates that psychedelic use for treatment of mental health problems is most effective when combined with psychotherapy. Using an EMDR approach I can help with intention setting and preparation prior to psychedelic use, and subsequently help utilise the window of increased neuroplasticity to optimise the outcome. I also offer support to those who have had challenging psychedelic experiences that they feel have negatively impacted them.
